Welcome to my photography blog!

Hi! I'm Jeni. I am a natural-light photographer based just south of Indianapolis. I specialize in families, seniors, kids, newborns...even pets! :) I love capturing personalities, stolen glances, and mischievous moments. My favorite thing is when my clients love their pictures, when they tell me that I have captured the essence of their family...it's why I do what I do. I think we can all agree that life moves fast...way too fast. I would love to help stop time for even just a moment and help you create a memory you can cherish forever. I can assure you that sessions with me will be laid back. I can be a bit of a goof and sometimes will be seen laying on the ground or acting crazy to get the shot. I want you to be comfortable, and most importantly, have FUN!

I currently reside on the south side of Indianapolis with my husband, 3 year old son Connor, and our beagle Bella. I am thrilled to be taking this journey into photography. It is truly my passion and where I feel led to be. I am so thankful for the encouragement I have received from family and friends. They have been instrumental in me following this dream and I am forever grateful. The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you."-- Psalm 32:8

I would be thrilled to capture some of the blessings in your life. Please visit my website at www.jenischroederphotography for prices, galleries, contact info, and openings. You can also visit me on facebook at www.facebook.com/jenischroederphotography.com Thanks for stopping by!

Skirvin Family

Amy was recommended  to me by a mutual friend of ours and I was thrilled when she said she had picked me out of other photographers. :) I was so excited to meet a new family. Amy wanted to meet at Franklin College and I have never shot there before but I am so glad she suggested it! The lighting was great and I had so much fun meeting Amy, her husband Steve, and little Henry, Abby, and Sam. They had some great ideas and the kids were such troopers, because it was a hot one! :) I'm so thankful to have met this sweet family!

Natalie - 6 Months

Okay, seriously how is she 6 months old already? If I think it has gone by fast I can only imagine how her mommy must feel. Of course I often wonder how my little one is 3 1/2 already so I understand....(SIGH) it goes by so fast....And now that I have gotten all sappy, I will get to the pictures. :) Natalie has been a fixture on my blog since she was in her mommy's womb. Her mom is a sweet friend of mine and I have LOVED being able to take her pictures and watch her grow up. She is an absolute doll and just keeps getting cuter and cuter! Can't wait for her 9 month pics...I know they will come sooner than I think! ;)

Goose and Cart

Or Gavin and Carter :) One of my best friends from home Kendra has two adorable little nephews that I had the priviledge of taking pictures of a couple weeks ago when I was home. They were both so hilarious and kept us laughing the whole time. Carter was my best model to date and posed for me without me even asking...Gavin, however was busy, busy, busy...but I like a challenge and he was absolutely the cutest and so much fun! At one point, Carter asked Gavin to sit down and then said, "oh, too busy Gavin?" Ha! Yes he was! :) Thank you so much Dana, for allowing to take your boys pictures!

Addi Grace

Addi's mom and my mom have known each other for what seems like forever. Her mom and my mom are best friends so we grew up with each other. A couple weekends ago I got to take pictures of her 3 year old adorable, sweet, funny daughter Addi. I was back in my hometown for the weekend so we got together and had a quick shoot. Addi was a dream to take pictures of and Tricia (her mom) was a dream mom to have at the shoot. She stayed behind the scenes yet close enough, made my job that much easier. I loved taking pics of Addi and especially enjoyed catching up with Tricia (and Jason, her husband too!)

Natalie-3mos

This is the second time I have had the priveledge of shooting little Miss Natalie (3rd if you count when she was in her mommy's belly). I cannot even begin to tell you how good this little sweetie was for me. We put her through many outfit changes and carried her to different spots, and probably bugged her to death when all she wanted to do was sleep. Poor thing was such a trooper! Her mommy and daddy are good friends of my husband and me. They are a great couple so it's always fun taking pics of Natalie...we definitely make it fun. She's a sweetie and I'm already thinking about fun things for her 6mos shoot! :)

Olivia and Maya

Olivia and Maya are two of the sweetest girls I know and they are just like family to me. My son Connor absolutely thinks they walk on water and their mom is one of my very best friends. Since Connor isn't much for modeling for mommy lately, they let me snap some pictures of them when we had a nice day recently. It was a good thing because I have needed some practice with my new camera. I'm happy that I have such willing models within my reach. :)

Baby Ford

This little sweetie was a gem to photograph. At 3 weeks old, he is the oldest "newborn" I've ever shot so he was pretty much awake the whole time. His grandma Julie goes to our church and is a sweet friend of mine and his mommy was in town visiting so Julie asked if I could run over and get some pictures. Of course I jumped on it...any time I can hold and take pictures of a sweet baby I am all over it, and let me tell you, Ford is sweet!
